Senior React/NextJS Engineer

N-IX is looking for a talented Senior React.js/Next.js Engineer to join the team who upgrades a range of our platforms.

Our client is a leading global provider of high-quality licensed images, videos, and music. The company helps inspire graphic designers, creative directors, video editors, filmmakers, web developers, and other creative professionals by providing diverse content to businesses, marketing agencies, and media organizations around the world. Our teams are empowered to own their applications. By joining our team, you will be involved in the development process organization, the development of the software itself, defining the vision for new services, and proactively making improvements to existing deployments.

Responsibilities:

• Contributing to all aspects of services the team is responsible for, including design, implementation, testing, refactoring, deployment, and optimization
• Improving internal team processes by identifying what is working and what is not and taking action to change things for the better
• Collaborating with Product Managers, the management team, and others to shape the vision for the team and its services
• Building technology the right way by designing simple, well-tested systems that deliver value immediately, can grow over time, and provide insights into production performance
• Helping team members improve through code reviews, pairing, and mentoring
  
  

Requirements:

• 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of programming languages and frameworks - JavaScript, TypeScript, Next.js
• Experience working with Contentful CMS
• Proficient with fundamental database concepts (at least one RDBMS and one NoSQL)
• Experience writing unit tests, integration tests and other test automation.
• Experience working in an Agile + paired-programming environment with continuous integration and/or delivery
  
  

Would be a plus:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related experience
• Experience with NodeJS/ExpressJS
• Experience with Jest / Playwright, ,Spectron/Selenium e2e automation
• Experience with Relational SQL (like MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc)
