Role Description

The AWS DevOps Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in North Sydney CBD, NSW. You will design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and cost-efficient AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automate CI/CD pipelines, and optimise system performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bash scripting, Python scripting, and automation scripting
• Understanding of Git flow and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Ability to prioritise and manage work on a Kanban board
• Good in CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Strong Linux and system administration skills
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management
• Experience with AWS IAM roles, policies, and least-privilege access management
• Experience configuring secure AWS networking (VPC, VPC peering, security groups)
• Experience with AWS Client VPN and MFA-based access controls
• Experience with cloud cost optimisation practices
• Experience with incident management and PagerDuty (or similar on-call tools)
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana and AWS CloudWatch
• Experience maintaining risk and corrective action registries is desirable
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• Experience with AWS SAM and Terraform is a plus
