We are now looking for a

Summer Trainee, Process intelligence (process mining with data engineering focus)

to join our Collaboration & Productivity team in Espoo, Finland. Our goal is to help people to be happier and more productive at work by getting tangible value out of AI, process intelligence and collaboration technologies. In this job, you will be working with process mining to simplify and increase the productivity of KONE business processes.

We are looking for a student—preferably in the later stages of their university studies—to join us between May and September 2026. The role is based in Espoo, and we expect you to work onsite most days, with some flexibility, as we believe work is an activity, not just a place.

The position focuses on data and platform engineering, with potential opportunities to build analytics views and deliver insights to the business. The exact responsibilities will be shaped by the strengths and interests of the selected candidate.

What you will do:

• Apply process mining to improve business process productivity.
• Build scalable ETL pipelines and support our data platform.
• Develop analytics views and deliver insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand requirements.
  
  

What we’re looking for:

• Student in the later part of studies.
• Hands-on skills in SQL, Python, Spark, data lakes, Fabric or Databricks.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Finnish not required).
  
  

Bonus skills:

• Understanding of end‑to‑end business processes (e.g., Lead-to-Cash, Source-to-Pay).
• Experience with process mining tools (Celonis, SAP Signavio, Power Automate Process Mining).
