Accountant

We, at OQ Technology, a pioneering company in the Satellite Telecommunications industry, are looking for an Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is a key role within the organization, responsible for ensuring financial integrity, compliance and performance. You will report directly to the VP of Finance.

In this role, you will manage core accounting activities while contributing to process improvements and scalability. Working closely with the finance team, you will provide accurate financial insights to support informed decision-making across the business.

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and General Ledger, including accounts receivable/payable, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, deferred revenues and other operational entries.


• Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with Lux GAAP and IFRS.


• Prepare monthly VAT returns and support other tax filings as required.


• Support month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.


• Collaborate with the finance team to consolidate worldwide financial results and provide analysis to support management decision-making.


• Design, implement, and maintain accounting processes and internal controls to improve efficiency and compliance.


• Assist with annual audits and liaise with local tax consultants to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.


• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function.


• Support ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as needed.


• Position based in Leudelange, Luxembourg.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.


• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.


• Strong Excel skills.


• Expertise in Lux GAAP and familiarity with IFRS.


• Experience with start-up or scale-up environments is a plus.


• Experience with cross-country organizations and financial consolidations is a plus.


• Familiarity with accounting software such as BOB and/or Odoo is a plus.


• Rigorous, autonomous and highly organized. Proactive with a strong sense of ownership and ability to propose improvements.


• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
