Freelance Senior iOS Engineer

For one of our major financial clients, we are looking for three Senior iOS Engineers to join an interdisciplinary grid. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of core features within a high-traffic banking app, balancing innovation with a solid DevOps approach.

🛠 What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain native features for iOS using Swift.
• Modernize the codebase by resolving legacy code and ensuring high accessibility standards.
• Innovate and research new technologies to keep the mobile platform at the industry forefront.
• Collaborate in a SCRUM environment, proactively refining future functionalities with your team.
• Contribute to Guild work, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of excellence among peers.

✅ What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of professional experience in native iOS development.
• Expert knowledge of Swift and the broader iOS ecosystem.
• UI Mastery: Hands-on experience with both UIKit and SwiftUI layouts.
• Large-scale Collaboration: Proven experience working within a large developer community.
• Communication: A proactive and productive approach to team-first communication.
• Fluent English + NL residency (no sponsorship).

Tooling: Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, Git, CI/CD, SCRUM.

🌟 Nice to have

• Modern Swift: Experience with Swift Concurrency and project modularization.
• Architecture & Design: Knowledge of the VIP Clean architecture pattern and interface design.
• Refactoring Skills: Capable of handling Objective-C refactoring.
• Domain Context: Experience in financial services development.

📋 Assignment Details

• Start Date: 10 March 2026.
• Duration: 1 year (until 09 March 2027).
• Hours: 36 hours per week.
• Max Rate: €90/hr (ZZP allowed).
