Cloud Engineer

Founded in 2017 in Utrecht, Vitestro is a fast-growing MedTech scale-up developing the Aletta® Autonomous Robotic Phlebotomy Device™ — an innovative solution combining AI, robotics, and advanced imaging to automate blood collection. With 90+ employees and first devices already placed with customers, the company is rapidly scaling its Cloud & Connectivity Platform.

The Role

As a Junior/Medior Cloud Engineer, you will join the Platform Team and build the cloud infrastructure powering secure device connectivity and system integrations.

You will design, implement, and operate AWS-based infrastructure and backend services that connect Vitestro’s platform with hospital systems, laboratory systems, and SaaS platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and operate AWS cloud infrastructure
• Build backend components for workflows and data exchange
• Develop integrations (REST APIs, events, messaging, webhooks, secure file exchange)
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, Pulumi)
• Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams in an agile environment

Your Profile

• 2+ years experience in cloud or backend engineering
• Strong experience integrating APIs and external systems
• Experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code
• Familiar with containers, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools
• Comfortable working with Linux, Python, and scripting
• Builder mindset with ownership and quality focus
