Senior Android Platform & Connectivity Engineer (AOSP, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi)
We are looking for a Senior Android Platform & Connectivity Engineer with deep expertise in AOSP and wireless connectivity, focusing on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi integration within embedded Android products. This role combines full-stack Android platform development with specialized ownership of connectivity subsystems, contributing across kernel, drivers, HAL, framework, and system layers.
You will play a key role in platform bring-up, hardware integration, and optimization of connectivity, performance, stability, power consumption, and security across advanced Android-based embedded devices.

Role: Senior AOSP Platform & Connectivity Engineer
Focus: AOSP, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Linux kernel, embedded Android
Contract: 6 months + possibilities of extensions
Key responsibilities:
AOSP platform development & system integration
- Contribute across the full Android platform stack including Linux kernel, drivers, HAL, framework, and system services
- Lead platform bring-up, BSP adaptation, and customization for embedded Android products
- Integrate and validate hardware components including connectivity modules, sensors, displays, audio, and camera subsystems
- Perform system-level troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and optimization for performance, stability, and power efficiency
- Develop and maintain automated test solutions and platform validation tools
Connectivity subsystem ownership (Bluetooth & Wi-Fi)
- Design, integrate, and optimize Android Bluetooth and Wi-Fi stacks across drivers, HAL, and framework layers
- Support bring-up and customization of wireless connectivity subsystems within AOSP
- Investigate and resolve complex issues related to RF behavior, coexistence, interoperability, and firmware interactions
- Optimize throughput, latency, power consumption, and reliability of wireless communication
- Work closely with chipset vendors and hardware engineering teams to ensure seamless connectivity integration
Platform optimization, security, and reliability
- Implement Android security features and connectivity security mechanisms
- Optimize power management and performance across system and connectivity layers
- Analyze system logs, traces, protocol captures, and RF behavior to diagnose and resolve complex issues
- Contribute to secure, scalable, and production-ready Android platform architectures
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Android platform or AOSP system-level development
- Strong expertise working across the AOSP stack including kernel, drivers, HAL, and framework layers
- Deep hands-on experience with Android Bluetooth and Wi-Fi stacks and connectivity subsystems
- Strong programming skills in C and modern C++
- Strong understanding of Linux kernel and embedded Linux environments
- Experience with Android platform bring-up and BSP adaptation
- Experience debugging system-level and connectivity issues using logs, traces, protocol analyzers, and debugging tools
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, wireless protocols, and system performance optimization
Nice to have
- Experience working with Android security mechanisms and secure platform development
- Experience with Java/Kotlin and Android SDK/NDK
- Experience working with chipset vendors and hardware integration teams
- Experience with embedded Android products such as smartphones, wearables, or similar devices
- Experience with RF coexistence, firmware integration, and wireless optimization
