We are expanding our engineering capability in Singapore and are seeking a highly experienced Senior Embedded Engineer to join our global technology team.

The Opportunity

This is a senior technical role focused on embedded firmware architecture, hardware-software integration, and distributed IoT systems within building automation. You will play a critical role in defining system architecture, optimizing performance, and ensuring secure and reliable communication between devices, sensors, and controllers across HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize embedded firmware in C/C++
• Define and implement scalable, modular embedded architectures
• Integrate IoT communication stacks (WiFi, BLE, ZigBee, Modbus, TCP/IP)
• Optimize microcontroller performance (RAM, FLASH, CPU utilization)
• Implement secure communication and device authentication mechanisms
• Conduct advanced debugging and validation using oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers
• Lead R&D initiatives to drive innovation and product enhancement
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver end-to-end product solutions
• Evaluate emerging technologies to strengthen product capabilities

What You’ll Bring

• 10+ years of embedded systems development experience
• Strong expertise in C/C++ on ARM-based microcontrollers
• Hands-on experience with embedded RTOS (bootloaders, interrupts, preemption, task scheduling)
• Deep understanding of IoT communication protocols (Bluetooth, WiFi, ZigBee, Modbus, Ethernet)
• Experience with low-level I/O interfaces (I2C, SPI, SDIO, USB)
• Strong architectural design capability for modular, reusable embedded software
• Experience debugging embedded systems using industry-standard toolchains
• Solid understanding of embedded security and cryptography
• Experience working in Agile development environments

Desirable:

• AWS IoT experience
• Experience in building automation, HVAC, lighting, or hospitality environments
• Experience working within international and multicultural teams
