In this role, you will lead a team supporting cross‑enterprise initiatives and large‑scale vehicle and product launches, driving Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevSecOps principles, culture, tools, and processes. You will help evolve Ford’s Continuous Integration ecosystem—improving reliability, automation, developer experience, and operational excellence across the software delivery lifecycle.

Key Objectives

• Implement and maintain modern CI tools and supporting infrastructure.
• Translate developer needs into actionable improvements to CI/CD workflows.
• Identify opportunities to automate and optimize the CI process.
• Review and test code written by others to ensure quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and deliver updates, fixes, and improvements.
• Partner with other teams to ensure adherence to engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Deploy updates and fixes to ensure CI stability and performance.
• Develop integrations with internal back-end systems as needed.
• Perform root cause analysis for development and production build/pipeline issues.
• Create automation to improve efficiency, consistency, and reliability.
• Establish and document troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.

Required Experience

• Senior Specialist level: 7+ years in a relevant field

Preferred Experience / Attributes

• 7+ years as a DevOps Engineer (or similar software engineering role)
• Embedded systems build and development process experience (preferred)
• Team leadership experience (highly preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Independent, proactive problem solver (able to identify issues and drive solutions)
