DevOps Engineer

Summary:
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a high-impact IoT and Smart Data technology function by delivering core automation, tooling, and infrastructure capabilities. In this role, you will provide technical leadership in DevOps methodologies—including GitLab, Docker, Ansible on Windows, SDLC, CI/CD, Agile development, configuration management, and pipeline troubleshooting. You will automate CI/CD processes for a variety of cloud-based applications and SaaS products using modern cloud technologies. This position is ideal for a professional who is passionate about automation, high-quality system delivery, and continuous process improvement. It also plays a key role in strengthening the organization’s security posture and protecting critical information assets.

Responsibilities:

Design, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for cloud-based and SaaS applications.
Automate build, test, deployment, and release processes across development environments.
Support DevOps workflows for Java-based systems and microservice architectures.
Manage and optimize Docker environments and Ansible on Windows automation processes.
Administer version control systems (Git), including branching/merging strategies.
Troubleshoot build, pipeline, and deployment issues across multiple environments.
Collaborate closely with Agile development teams to support iterative development cycles.
Improve tooling for continuous integration, automated testing, environment management, and release automation.
Contribute to secure, scalable configurations that protect organizational information assets.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of professional technical experience.
4+ years in DevOps and CI/CD, specifically on Java-based systems.
1+ year of hands-on Docker experience.
2+ years of experience with Ansible on Windows.
Strong background in CI/CD processes, release automation, and environment management.
Experience using and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiency administering Git with a solid understanding of branching and merging models.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working with Agile development teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting cloud infrastructure or cloud-native applications.
Exposure to IoT platforms, large-scale data systems, or SaaS delivery models.
Knowledge of configuration management best practices and security principles.
Familiarity with container orchestration or infrastructure-as-code tools.
