AI Engineer Associate

Your Role And Responsibilities

As an associate level AI Engineer at IBM, you will combine cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies with modern cloud-native development practices to deliver innovative software solutions. You will work within cross-functional teams and contribute to the design and implementation of ML/AI solutions.

In Your Role, You May Be Responsible For

• Implementing and validating ML or LLMs solutions
• Working in an Agile, collaborative environment, partnering with other scientists, engineers, consultants and database administrators of all backgrounds and disciplines to bring analytical rigor and statistical methods to the challenges of predicting behaviours
• Communicating with internal and external clients to understand and define business needs and appropriate modelling techniques to provide analytical solutions.
• Evaluating and communicating the results to technical and non-technical audiences.
  
  

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• You have passion about technology and software solutions related to GenAI and data science.
• You have a good understanding of LLMs, Deep Learning, NLP and at least one other area of Machine Learning (Supervised or Unsupervised), gained through business or academic projects.
• You have any experience with LLMs, LLM tooling (e.g. langchain), Prompt engineering, basic RAG pipelines or MLOps tools.
• You have a basic understanding of Cloud (Azure, AWS, etc.), Git and Docker.
• You are great at solving problems by looking at things differently, debugging, troubleshooting, and designing & implementing solutions to complex technical issues.
• You are able to present technical ideas in a clear way to diverse audiences.
• No previous professional experience is required, but previous experience will be considered as a plus.
  
  

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Fluent in English and Dutch. Able to communicate in a professional level in both spoken and written manner.
• Basic understanding of Infrastructure as a Code and familiarity with Bicep, Terraform, API gateways.
• Familiarity constructing usable data sets from multiple structured and unstructured data sources.
