Senior UI Developer

About The Role

This is a hands-on UI development role where your main responsibility is to turn design into high-quality frontend experiences. At Grebban, some projects are built as Shopify themes using Liquid, while others are headless storefronts built with React. We see that candidates for this role are strong enough developers that they can handle any frontend stack.

We also work actively with modern AI-supported workflows. That means you’ll be encouraged to explore new ways of working, including agentic approaches, MCP-based tooling, and smart automation to speed up implementation and improve consistency, without compromising quality.

You’ll collaborate closely with our clients and Grebbans designers, backend developers, project managers and strategists, to build e-commerce solutions that are clean, scalable, and future-proof.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building pixel-perfect e-commerce site UIs from Figma and design specs
• Developing Shopify themes using Liquid, JavaScript, and Tailwind
• Creating reusable components and scalable UI patterns
• Making sure interfaces are accessible and follow WCAG best practices
• Optimising performance and ensuring great Core Web Vitals
• Implementing responsive layouts that work across devices
• Collaborating with designers to refine details, interactions, and edge cases
• Using agentic workflows and modern AI tooling (including MCP-based setups) to speed up delivery and improve development efficiency
• Contributing to frontend best practices and participating in code reviews
• Advising clients on e-commerce best practices to improve usability, conversion, and overall customer experience
• Acting as a frontend and UX-minded e-commerce expert in client discussions, helping shape smart solutions for their primary sales channel
• Challenging and refining requirements to ensure we build experiences that are not just beautiful, but commercially effective
  
  

What We’re Looking For

We believe you have a few years of experience as a frontend developer, and that you genuinely enjoy UI work.

You have strong skills in:

• HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript
• Shopify Liquid (or you’re highly motivated to become great at it)
• React and component-based development
• Tailwind CSS and other structured CSS architectures
• Building responsive, scalable, production-ready interfaces
• Writing clean, maintainable code
  
  

You’re also curious about modern development workflows and enjoy experimenting with tools that help you deliver faster and smarter. Experience with AI-supported development, agentic workflows, or MCP tooling is a big plus, but the mindset matters more than specific tools.
