DataOps Specialist – Cloudera Modernisation to GCP (Spark/NiFi/Terraform)

We are looking for a DataOps Specialist to support a large organisation modernising its data platform and upgrading an existing on-prem data lake (Cloudera / Apache stack) to meet new regulatory and compliance requirements.

You’ll join the delivery team and work hands-on with the migration to a cloud-native architecture on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging containerisation, managed services (e.g., Dataproc), and Infrastructure-as-Code to build a scalable, sustainable, and compliant platform.

Location: Stockholm

Work mode: Hybrid

Contract: 6 months + extensions

Key focus areas

• Migrate/modernise Spark-based workloads from Cloudera to GCP (Dataproc)
• Support data ingestion and pipeline work (NiFi / Airflow where relevant)
• Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform
• Enable containerised workloads (Docker/Kubernetes) where required
• Improve CI/CD, monitoring/observability, and operational maturity

Must-have skills

• Apache Spark, NiFi, and strong ETL/data platform experience
• Terraform (IaC), Python + SQL
• Experience in Cloudera/Hadoop ecosystems
• Cloud experience, ideally GCP / Dataproc

Nice to have

• Airflow, CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling (Elastic/Kibana), Scala, strong CLI/Linux skills
• Swedish is a plus (English required)
