Unreal Engine Techical Game Designer

We’re looking for a focused Design Implementor, highly execution-oriented, and comfortable working directly in the engine. The core need is strong Unreal implementation capability; someone who can take high-level goals and design direction and get content functional in-game quickly.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Game Design
  • 2+ years of Technical Game Designer (Blueprints implementation) experience with Unreal Engine 5/4, with 3+ years of overall UE 5/4 experience
  • Strong blueprint scripting and implementation
  • Can put a creative stamp on it and work on tuning it to quality as well, but there is a baseline of “support setup” type work
  • Excellent communication and collaborative problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • We have content in a variety of categories, mostly designed. The goal would be to have a strong UE implementor/technical designer with a design sense to implement this content. The systems are already implemented, and many examples of the existing content are available. It’s just developing, populating, tuning, and testing them.
  • Examples are: Boons, status effects, consumable item effects, weapons, Weapon arts (special abilities), Quests, enemy variants, etc.

Would Be a Plus

  • Depending on skill set, may also work on level-support scripting, spawn setups, etc.
  • C++ is nice to have. Familiarity with how to manipulate content such as niagra vfx, models in maya, verbals, audio setup, all make the candidate increasingly valuable so they can implement independently.
