Network Engineer (Contract – 6 Months)

Location: Remote with travel as required (deployment-dependent)

We are a infrastructure company operating large-scale GPU-accelerated environments. We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the design, validation, and documentation of high-performance network fabrics used in production deployments.

This is a 6-month contract role, aligned to active build and deployment cycles, with the potential for a higher degree of remote work depending on the candidate’s experience and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret network topologies and architecture diagrams to support deployment and validation activities.
  • Create detailed point-to-point (P2P) and port-to-port mappings based on bills of materials (BOMs), physical layouts, and fabric designs.
  • Generate and maintain complete port maps for switches, servers, and interconnects across multiple deployment phases.
  • Validate cabling plans and physical connectivity against logical designs.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, hardware, and deployment teams to resolve discrepancies in network documentation or implementation.
  • Support deployment readiness by ensuring network documentation is accurate, complete, and deployment-friendly.
  • Assist with troubleshooting connectivity or configuration issues during build-out as needed.

Required Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with data center networking, ideally in large-scale or high-performance environments.
  • Proven ability to work from network designs, BOMs, and rack layouts to produce accurate implementation documentation.
  • Familiarity with leaf-spine architectures, high-speed Ethernet, and GPU-centric infrastructure.
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving deployment environments with evolving requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation discipline.

Travel & Work Arrangement

  • Travel expectations align with standard deployment requirements (on-site support during critical build or integration phases).
  • There is potential for the role to be largely remote, depending on the candidate’s experience and ability to operate independently.
