Job Description Summary
As a User Experience / User Interface (UX/UI) Designer, you will shape the future of our next‑generation patient monitoring devices and systems—solutions that help clinicians save lives every day. You will take part in researching, conceptualizing, and crafting intuitive interactions for complex, mission‑critical medical workflows.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—software engineers, mechanical engineers, usability researchers, clinical specialists, and product managers—to design user experiences that are safe, effective, elegant, and delightful.
Patient Care Solutions develop medical devices and technologies that help sustain life, and support patient care in every setting throughout the hospital environment. Our teams use every moment to provide clinicians and frontline caregivers with a variety of life-changing medical solutions in monitoring, diagnostic cardiology, acute care, anesthesia and respiratory care, and maternal and infant care.

Responsibilities
- Create and iterate UX/UI concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs for embedded and connected medical devices.
- Produce detailed interaction flows, UI specifications, and visual assets, refining them through usability testing and stakeholder feedback.
- Document, package, and hand-off design materials to software development teams with clarity and precision.
- Work closely with development teams to support implementation, clarify behaviors, and review delivered features for design quality.
- Advocate for usability and data driven design principles principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Degree in Industrial Design, Human Factors/Usability Engineering, Computer Science, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience designing embedded systems or hardware‑integrated interfaces.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, UI design, interaction design, usability methods, and design processes.
- Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
- Curious, self‑driven, and proactive communicator with strong collaborative skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English, intermediate Finnish.
- Experience designing medical devices or for other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with software development processes, including Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Qt, QML, or similar UI frameworks.
- Interest in leveraging AI‑assisted design tools and workflows.
