About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading digital product organisation that delivers large-scale, data-driven consumer experiences used by millions globally. They are expanding their machine learning capability and are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer who enjoys owning problems end-to-end and turning ideas into production systems that create real business impact.

This is not a research-only role — you will design, build, deploy and continuously improve production ML systems embedded directly within live products.

What You’ll Do

• Build and deploy scalable, production-ready machine learning systems
• Own the full ML lifecycle: data preparation, feature engineering, training, evaluation, deployment and iteration
• Develop real-time and batch inference pipelines with monitoring and retraining strategies
• Measure product performance and business impact, and improve models accordingly
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and designers to integrate ML into customer-facing products
• Improve reliability, performance and maintainability of ML infrastructure
• Contribute to team capability through knowledge sharing and mentoring
• Work with platform teams to enhance tooling, experimentation and ML operations

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years applying machine learning in a production or commercial environment
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java or similar
• Experience building scalable ML pipelines and working with large datasets
• Familiarity with experimentation frameworks and A/B testing
• Understanding of deploying, monitoring and maintaining models in production
• Ability to communicate technical topics clearly to cross-functional stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, AI, Engineering or similar

Nice to Have Experience in one or more of the following:

• Recommender systems
• Deep learning
• Information retrieval / search
• Computer vision or speech
• Causal inference / optimisation problems
