Role Description

Within the Advanced Technology department, this temporary 6‑month position focuses on supporting the Advanced Protein Team in developing next‑generation food protein solutions. The role is ideal for someone with a scientific background, a passion for alternative proteins, and a hands‑on, curious approach to experimentation. You will contribute directly to research initiatives involving plant‑based and other emerging protein sources, generating insights that strengthen the company’s innovation pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and executing experiments related to food protein ingredients and finished product systems, exploring functionality, stability, molecular behavior and ingredient interactions.
  • Proposing and refining experimental approaches, working closely with senior team members to shape strong scientific plans.
  • Documenting experimental work thoroughly, maintaining structured and reliable data records.
  • Analyzing results critically, transforming raw data into meaningful scientific conclusions that guide project decisions.
  • Collaborating across the Protein team and Advanced Technology group, exchanging knowledge, challenging ideas constructively and contributing to robust scientific discussions.
  • Supportinginnovation initiatives, helping accelerate technology development in the alternative protein space.

Requirements

  • Strong scientific curiosity and desire to understand food science mechanisms; experience with plant protein functionality and characterization is preferred.
  • Experience with formulation work, small‑scale testing and product analysis is beneficial.
  • Ideally more than 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Analytical thinking with attention to detail and creativity in designing and interpreting experiments.
  • Ability to manage workload efficiently and operate independently.
  • Proactive, critical mindset with a willingness to propose new ideas and drive progress.
  • Strong sense of ownership, reliability and commitment to high‑quality work.
  • Effective collaborator with clear communication skills across functions.
  • Hands‑on laboratory skills, including experience with physico‑chemical analysis of protein ingredients and enthusiasm for learning new techniques.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Availability to start at the end of March.
