We are seeking an experienced EHV Cable Engineer to oversee Extra High Voltage cable installation, testing, inspections, and quality compliance for KAHRAMAA electricity network projects. This role ensures all work meets contractual, technical, and safety requirements while coordinating closely with contractors and authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all EHV cable works comply with tender specifications, contract conditions, and KAHRAMAA standards.
  • Attend site inspections and verify works follow technical requirements, O&M manuals, and KAHRAMAA procedures.
  • Enforce KAHRAMAA safety regulations and ensure proper use of warning boards, safety signs, and traffic management.
  • Identify and follow up on non-conformities until full resolution to KAHRAMAA satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with contractors to secure Road Opening Permits and required approvals.
  • Verify and approve materials as per contract specifications.
  • Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for cables and ensure quality compliance.
  • Maintain accurate inspection/testing records for cables and accessories.
  • Evaluate subcontractors based on quality systems and technical capability.
  • Ensure timely completion of all cable-related works.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ experience in EHV cable works (installation, testing, commissioning).
  • Strong knowledge of KAHRAMAA standards and Qatar regulations.
  • Experience with FAT, QA/QC processes, and non‑conformity management.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and contractor coordination skills.
