About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior iOS/Android Developer to join our client’s innovative team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a shared App Platform that supports multiple consumer applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in either SwiftUI or Kotlin and a passion for building high-quality, scalable mobile applications. Based in Manchester or London, the role offers a hybrid working model, requiring two days per week in the office. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for owning the entire development lifecycle—from initial product conception to deployment and ongoing maintenance—delivering impactful solutions that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Mobile Developer, with a focus on iOS or Android platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in either SwiftUI or Kotlin, with a solid understanding of mobile development best practices.
  • Experience working on shared platform architectures supporting multiple applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to own projects end-to-end, from design and development to deployment and maintenance.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with experience working closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other engineers.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and release management.
  • Mentoring experience, with a passion for coaching junior engineers and fostering team growth.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement high-quality mobile features using SwiftUI or Kotlin, ensuring a seamless user experience across multiple applications.
  • Take ownership of projects from initial design through to deployment, managing the full software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to understand requirements and shape technical solutions that align with business goals.
  • Work across multiple apps within a shared platform, ensuring consistency, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Contribute to defining technical direction, establishing best practices, and improving existing development processes.
  • Mentor and coach other engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Enhance CI/CD workflows, deployment pipelines, and release strategies to streamline delivery and improve reliability.
  • Resolve complex technical challenges through problem-solving and innovative thinking.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high standards of quality and performance.

Benefits

Our client offers a competitive salary package in the range of £60,000 to £80,000, commensurate with experience. The role includes flexible hybrid working arrangements, with two days per week in the office in Manchester or London.
