A renowned, funded and profitable challenger bank is looking for a Mid-Level iOS Developer to join their mobile engineering team. The business offers a flexible current account product with features such as expense categorisation, instant payment notifications, and easy access to financial insights.

Fully integrated with a mobile app, users can manage account settings, activate or freeze cards, and set savings goals directly from their iPhone.

📍 Location: London City

🏢 Hybrid: 2–3 days onsite per week

💰 Day Rate: Up to £500 per day Outside IR35

The Role

As a Mid-Level iOS Developer, you will contribute to the development and evolution of the iOS application, working within an established architecture and collaborating closely with senior engineers. You’ll play a key role in building new features, improving existing functionality, and helping maintain a clean, scalable codebase aligned with best practices.

You’ll work with Swift and modern iOS frameworks, contributing to architectural discussions and implementing solutions that balance performance, maintainability, and user experience. While you won’t be solely responsible for architectural ownership, you’ll be expected to understand patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture and apply them effectively in your day-to-day work.

Tech Stack

Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, async/await (Concurrency), MVVM / Clean Architecture, Dependency Injection, GraphQL, URLSession / Alamofire, Core Data, XCTest, XCUITest

You have solid commercial experience building and shipping iOS applications using Swift and modern development practices. You’re comfortable working across the app lifecycle, from feature development through to release, and have a good understanding of App Store processes.

You write clean, testable code and are confident in contributing to code reviews and technical discussions. You enjoy collaborating with backend, product, and design teams to deliver high-quality, user-focused mobile experiences, and you’re keen to continue developing your architectural knowledge and technical depth within a fast-paced FinTech environment.
