Senior Security Operations Manager (SOC)

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Security Operations Manager to lead and manage the Security Operations Centre (SOC) for our Cyber Security client. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in overseeing SOC teams, preferably within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. You will be responsible for managing the team, developing processes, assessing incidents, and ensuring the implementation of security technologies and tools.
This role requires a strong leader with technical expertise, a deep understanding of security operations, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- SOC Management: Oversee the daily operations of the SOC, ensuring efficient delivery of security monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management services.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of SOC analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning, career development, and performance excellence.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external clients, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain security operations policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent and effective operations.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report on SOC performance, including key metrics, KPIs, and SLAs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Financial Management: Monitor SOC budget and margin, ensuring accurate reporting and invoicing.
- Customer Satisfaction: Regularly review customer feedback and performance, proposing and implementing improvements to enhance service delivery.
- Cross-Regional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with SOC managers across different geographies to align objectives and influence outcomes.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a senior security operations leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing SOC teams in large and complex organizations.
- Experience within an MSP/MSSP environment is highly desirable.
