Senior Back-End Developer (Scala/Java) – Remote, Europe

We’re looking for a talented Backend Developer to design and implement high-performance backend services, data models, and processes. You’ll turn complex business problems into clean, maintainable code using Scala, Java, and PostgreSQL.

What you’ll do:

• Build and maintain backend systems powering critical applications
• Translate business domains into scalable software solutions
• Apply OOP (and some FP) principles to craft robust, efficient code
• Collaborate with a skilled engineering team on architecture, performance, and concurrency

What we’re looking for:

• 10+ years in backend development (Scala/Java or equivalent)
• Strong OOP/FP knowledge and design pattern expertise
• Experience with transactional systems, concurrency, and debugging
• Independent, analytical mindset with fluent English

Bonus points:

• Domain-Driven Design experience
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Oracle, MSSQL, or DB2
• Experience with performance tuning and CI/CD
