Head of Mergers and Acquisitions

Head of M&A | PE-Backed Technology Services Platform | Germany

We are working with a private equity-backed technology services platform at an exciting stage of its international expansion, seeking to appoint a Head of M&A to lead and execute its buy-and-build strategy.

This is a high-impact leadership role, working directly with the CEO, CFO and investors to build a market-leading European platform through acquisitions.

The Role

You will take full ownership of the M&A lifecycle, including:

• Developing and executing the group’s acquisition strategy
• Identifying and sourcing acquisition targets across Europe
• Leading end-to-end transaction execution, including valuation, due diligence and negotiations
• Preparing investment papers and presenting to senior leadership and shareholders
• Supporting integration planning and value creation post-acquisition
• Building relationships with advisors, founders and intermediaries

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with significant deal exposure.

Candidate Profile

We are interested in speaking with individuals who have:

• 6–12 years’ experience in M&A, corporate development, private equity or investment banking
• Proven track record executing acquisitions end-to-end
• Experience in a buy-and-build or PE-backed environment is highly attractive
• Strong financial modelling and commercial skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to operate in a lean team

Technology, software or IT services experience is beneficial but not essential.

Location & Package

• Flexible German location (monthly travel required to HQ)
• Compensation: €150k package
