Full Stack Java Engineer

Senior Full Stack Java Engineer (React) – Contract – Enterprise Programme – Onsite (EU Locations)

I’m supporting a global technology consultancy on a major enterprise transformation engagement. They’re strengthening an existing engineering team and are looking for a strong Full Stack Java Engineer to join a long-term programme delivering high-traffic, business-critical systems.

This role would suit someone operating at upper-mid to senior level who enjoys working on scalable backend services while remaining hands-on across the full stack.

Contract Overview:

• Long-term contract engagement

• Onsite presence expected (5 days per week where required)

• Location options: Porto (Portugal), Riga (Latvia) or Warsaw (Poland)

• Start date: ASAP (up to 1 month notice)

Core Experience Required:

• 5+ years building full stack applications using Java & React

• Strong experience with Spring Boot and API-driven architectures

• Hands-on AWS exposure in production environments

• Experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases

• Deep understanding of concurrency, async processing & multi-threaded applications

• Proven ability to identify performance bottlenecks and optimise backend services

• Strong focus on automated testing (unit & integration)

Profile Fit:

• Comfortable working within large-scale, structured environments

• Strong communicator with solid stakeholder interaction skills

• Experience navigating evolving requirements and technical change

• Fluent English (written and spoken)

• Able to commit to onsite working in one of the listed locations

Day rates are open at this stage and will reflect experience and seniority. Strong senior candidates will be considered where rates are aligned.
