Automation Engineer

RSI Europe is a rapidly growing defense technology company based in Vilnius, Lithuania, developing and producing advanced remotely operated systems for modern military operations. We are seeking an Automation Engineer to drive the development and implementation of smart automation solutions that enhance and scale our manufacturing operations. This role will play a key part in advancing current initiatives and launching new automation projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve automation systems in production (e.g. screwing robotic system, soldering, flight test automation processes etc).
• Integrate robotics, machine vision, and OCR technologies.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams.
• Optimize processes to improve speed, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop transition from manual to semi-manual or fully automated workflows.
• Troubleshoot and continuously improve existing automation solutions.
• Work with equipment suppliers on design, ordering, installation, and service.

Requirements

• Degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electronics, or related fields.
• Experience with industrial automation systems and robotics.
• Knowledge of PLCs, machine vision systems, and/or OCR technologies.
• Understanding electronics manufacturing (PCB assembly, soldering processes etc).
• Experience in the production environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on mindset.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects forward.
