About the Role

NAVO is a growing B2B + B2C office furniture brand. Our website is a business-critical platform that drives leads, sales, and brand growth. We are looking for a backend-focused ecommerce developer who can take ownership of the backend, fix structural issues, and build a stable foundation for long-term growth.

Your Core Responsibility

You will own the backend, performance, and data structure of our ecommerce platform.

If something breaks on:

• checkout
• product data
• backend performance
• site stability

What You Will Do

• Take ownership of backend
• Audit and clean up existing architecture
• Improve backend performance and stability
• Simplify and optimize product upload & data workflows
• Reduce unnecessary plugin dependency
• Improve database queries and backend efficiency
• Work with frontend developers (Next.js) to ensure smooth integration
• Define and document backend best practices
• Support integrations (payments, CRM, tools, future features)
• Work with agencies or vendors when required

What We Are Looking For

• Strong, hands-on experience with WooCommerce & WordPress
• Experience fixing messy or legacy ecommerce systems
• Good understanding of performance bottlenecks
• Comfortable working with databases (MySQL)
• Ability to take technical decisions independently
• Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders

Good to Have

• Experience working alongside headless or Next.js frontends
• Experience with caching, CDN, server optimization
• Experience cleaning up plugin-heavy WooCommerce setups
• Experience working with agencies or external developers
