Senior Network Engineer

To strengthen the Engineering team of my client, I am looking for a Senior Network Engineer, in Dublin North. This is a permanent role with international travel opportunities: up to 40%.

Responsibilities

As a key member of the team, you will help shape and drive the planning, execution and maintenance of the network for events around the world. Your responsibilities include:

• Manage and support networks for global live events.

• Engage with other teams to build resilience into the system and across features.

• Ensures systems are documented and maintained.

• Manage ambiguity within complex problem spaces, breaking down problems and communicating clearly with other teams.

• Support global/regional evets on-site and remotely.

Qualifications and Technical Skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Technical degree in a related field.

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of experience as a network engineer, ideally in live events.

• Really strong experience with Layer 2/3 networks.

• Network security: Palo Alto/ Juniper

• TCP/IP protocol stack

• CCNA certification is a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Experience supporting traveling events/ conferences

• Live production experience

• Scripting Python/ Bash

• Experience designing and implementing layer 3 networks, MPLS, BGP & Pseudowires/L2VPN, Multicast, PIM, IPFM.
