Game Designer - Remote

Echoes of Aureline is an indie narrative vehicle game seeking a senior Narrative Designer to deliver a polished, publisher-ready 10–15 minute vertical slice. The role involves crafting a compelling demo script, designing a branching Echo Node scene to highlight narrative choice, developing concise one-pagers for three core NPCs, and scripting a trailer. The project is intended to serve as a showcase for potential publishers and to support the launch of a new indie game studio in Mumbai, India. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in narrative design for commercial games and the ability to deliver high-quality work within a 4–6 week timeline.

Deliverables

• Complete, publisher-ready demo script for a 10–15 minute vertical slice
• Design and write a branching Echo Node scene to demonstrate narrative choice
• Develop one-pagers for three core NPCs, outlining their roles and personalities
• Script a compelling trailer to introduce the game’s premise and tone
• Ensure all materials are tailored for publisher review and potential pitching
  
  

Requirements

• Senior-level experience as a Narrative Designer with at least one shipped commercial game
• Demonstrated expertise in branching narrative systems and interactive storytelling
• Strong portfolio showcasing relevant narrative design work
• Experience preparing materials for publisher pitches or introductions
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines
• Excellent written communication and storytelling skills
• Familiarity with indie game development processes is a plus
