About the Project
You’ll be a pivotal support to the client’s Strategy & Operations Leads (APAC) for a large, complex marketing department – designing how work flows, how decisions get made, and how the team shows up to leadership. You’ll turn big-picture ambition into clear plans, operating rhythms and reporting that keep a multi-market marketing team focused, accountable, and future-ready.
Think of it as a Chief of Staff role – a high-level strategic partner to senior stakeholders (Managers, Directors and VPs), helping them maximise capacity, capabilities and budgets, help manage operational priorities, and drive cross-functional initiatives
NB! Please note, this is a fixed-term full-time contract for 12 months with a high possibility of extension.
About the Role
Marketing Strategy, Planning & Operations
- Translate leadership priorities into clear plans, workstreams, and timelines for the marketing organisation across APAC and its support to global programmes.
- Design and run the Marketing Planning & Operations rhythm (annual/quarterly/weekly) so priorities, owners, and trade-offs are always visible and aligned.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to frame problems, propose options, and recommend data-backed ways forward – not just execute pre-defined briefs.
- Close the loop on delivery by ensuring every initiative has clear goals, milestones, owners, and a simple way to track progress.
Team Leadership, Delivery & Ways of Working
- Lead and coach the Marketing Planning & Operations team (Managers / Specialists / ICs), giving them clear roles, responsibilities, priorities, and success measures.
- Build and enforce simple, scalable ways of working – how work is briefed, tracked, reviewed, and communicated – so ICs can own more and escalate less.
- Align cross-functional stakeholders (regional, in-market, and central teams) around who is doing what, by when, and how decisions are documented.
- Create high-impact presentations and data-driven narratives for VP / Director audiences, connecting plans, performance, and resourcing in a clear, compelling way.
Data, Reporting, AI & Transformation
- Own the core Marketing Planning & Operations reporting views (pipelines, resourcing, performance, operational health) and make them executive-ready.
- Use data, spreadsheets, and simple financial logic to highlight risks, trade-offs, and opportunities across programmes and markets.
- Identify and champion AI and automation opportunities that reduce manual work (e.g. in reporting, documentation, workflow orchestration) and lead pilots from test to adoption.
- Bring digital transformation experience to roll out new tools and processes: design, test, iterate, optmise and embed them in a complex, matrixed marketing environment.
About You
- 12+ years’ experience in marketing strategy and operations, programme management, or digital transformation – ideally from management/marketing consulting, large tech/media, or other complex multinationals with APAC-wide experience.
- A track record leading small but mighty Strategy & Ops or PMO-style teams, setting direction and driving accountability across multiple stakeholders and markets.
- Deep comfort with data, spreadsheets, reporting and basic financials – you can move between raw data and C-suite slides with ease.
- Proven experience rolling out new ways of working or tools across matrixed organisations – always executing, not just writing the strategy deck.
- Strong executive presence and communication skills: you can engage VP / Director-level leaders, tell a sharp, data-driven story, and hold your ground in senior forums.
Please note
Due to the high volume of applications, we unfortunately can’t get back to every one of you, and only successful applicants will be contacted. When you share your details with us, we consider this as consent for us to use your data during the application process. We may implement AI in various stages of the recruitment process, but human involvement will always remain as part of our hiring ethos. At the moment, MASH is not in a position to sponsor work visas, so you have to be eligible to legally work in the country where we’re hiring.
