The Role: Leading Backend Engineer

We’re looking for a highly capable Leading Backend Engineer to become a key contributor within our core engineering team. You’ll be responsible for architecting, building, and scaling the systems that sit at the heart of our AI‑driven video intelligence platform.

In this role, you will:

• Build and maintain backend services that ingest, process, and serve large volumes of video and sensor data
• Design scalable APIs and distributed systems that power our frontend and ML pipelines
• Collaborate on shaping infrastructure, architecture, and technical strategy from the ground up
• Solve complex problems involving real‑time processing, distributed systems, and high availability
• Fully own backend and edge functionality with emphasis on architecture, delivery, and cross‑team collaboration

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

• Strong experience with Golang, Python, or C++
• A strong track record of building scalable backend systems and APIs
• A Computer Science degree or similar (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience working in startups or fast‑moving environments
• Comfort with distributed systems, containers, and cloud‑native infrastructure
• A deep understanding of system performance, reliability, and clean architecture principles
