The Mobile Apps team you will be joining is a core part of our digital product and technology team at Kogan.com. Our team is fast-paced, independent, ambitious and have end to end ownership of the Kogan.com site, the Android native application, and Kogan Shopping Android native application.

The Mobile Apps team you will be joining is a core part of our digital product and technology team at Kogan.com. Our team is fast-paced, independent, ambitious and have end to end ownership of the Kogan.com site, the Android native application, and Kogan Shopping Android native application.
What you'll need:
- Be proficient in Mobile app development in Android and have a strong understanding of mobile application architectures and software design patterns
- Want to be involved in the whole Software Development Lifecycle - from idea generation to monitoring the performance of your changes in production
- Pride yourself in building high quality software whilst also being pragmatic and highly accountable to your work
- Love working on the user experience of the application - building pleasing experiences solving complex workflows - viewing the feedback on the Google Store regularly!
- Have at least 1 year of experience in working in an Agile, Lean, Scrum, Kanban team (pick your flavour!)
- A person who can Get Things Done - we love building software and shipping regularly so our customers are using it!
- Coach and mentor junior engineers on best practices and ways of working
- Hands-on coding on the product, delivery of new features and functionality, and providing support to bugs
- Championing software engineering principles to deliver a better experience for our users and an engaging technology-led engineering environment
- Design architectures and build components that deliver fast, smooth experiences to users across the world
- Work cross-functionally and cross-team to execute on technical and business strategy and build experiences that our users will love
- Contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, test, experimentation, analysis, and launch. You’ll be reviewing code and design docs, giving feedback on product specs and mocks
- Continuously learn and improve your technical and non-technical abilities
- Your role has a lot of autonomy and little red tape. You’ll be empowered to achieve positive outcomes and your work will have a material and visible impact on an already well functioning and established team
