Head of System Engineering

We are looking for an Head of System Engineering to be hired with a permanent contract in Milan within the Smart Infrastructure Electrification and Automation area.

Your Challenge

As Head of System Engineering your mission will be to develop energy automation systems for electrical substation or power plant in medium or high voltage networks.

Your main activities will be:

• Leads, develops and motivates a group of dedicated qualified employees and professionals functionally to achieve the targets set.
• Ensures adherence to defined guidelines, process and procedures, for the Engineering Team assigned.
• Coordinates Engineering activities performed by a team of professionals and technicians and controls execution according to the organizational guidelines.
• Provides suitable work environment and implements people management processes.
• May lead a group of dedicated qualified employees and professionals also disciplinary.
• May plan and allocate resources and budgets to Engineering projects or activities.
  
  

To be a perfect fit for this role, you would already have:

• At least 10 years of experience in system engineering applied to HV/MV energy systems, with proven people management experience.
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation Engineering or equivalent technical background
• Strong knowledge of HV/MV power plants, substations and grid infrastructures
• Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Good knowledge of protection, control and automation systems, including BCU, SCADA and IEC 61850 architecture
• Knowledge of Siprotec or equivalent protection platforms is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of English and Italian
• Strong leadership, customer orientation, autonomy and team-working attitude
• Eligibility to work in Italy
