Join our Certificates & Equity Trading Tribe! We are developing and operating software solutions for RBI’s Certificates and Equity and market making business.

As a Software Developer you will play a key role in further developing our Market Making Platform and provide solutions for Trading and Sales activities. You will work closely with colleagues in various IT teams but also with Product Owners and business colleagues.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and operating the applications, optimizing DevOps and CI/CD processes and ensuring the integration of security requirements. As a Senior Developer, you will also guide and mentor other developers, conduct code reviews, and maintain the high quality of our development team and processes.

Your mission at RBI:

  • Work on the application- and development- strategy
  • Shape an efficient, modern and high quality SDLC process and ensure security-requirements are integrated
  • Write clean and efficient code in accordance with system specifications and requirements
  • Collaborate with Software Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owner to achieve the product objectives
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards throughout the development process.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and testing of applications prior to their deployment to the production environment
  • Taking shared responsibility for application operation of the productive trading platform
  • Efficiently and fast troubleshoot coding issues to maintain a productive work environment

Your core competencies:

  • Deep know how of object-oriented programming and design patterns, with focus on Java, C++ is additional advantage
  • UNIX and scripting experience like bash, shell scripting
  • Understanding of relational database technologies and programming
  • Practical knowledge in DevOps methodologies and processes
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns like REST API also to 3rd party software
  • Understanding of choreography patterns and microservice orchestration
  • Good understanding of application management processes and principles
  • Good troubleshooter (investigate & solve issues) with the eye to details
  • Experience in banking, especially in capital markets environment is an advantage
  • Sound command of written and spoken English, German is an advantage
