Project Engineer

🔎 Your Mission

As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and coordinating the engineering activities within major energy and infrastructure projects. Working closely with the Project Manager and multidisciplinary teams, you will help ensure efficient decision‑making, high‑quality technical execution, and smooth project delivery—both during tender phases and throughout construction.

🧩 What You Will Do

• Support the Project Manager in a wide range of project responsibilities.
• Review and analyse designs prepared by engineering teams, providing feedback to enhance processes and workflows.
• Prepare and interpret technical data, reports and documentation for Engineering and Project Management.
• Collaborate with construction and operations teams to optimise technical and constructive solutions, monitor subcontractors, and ensure schedule compliance.
• Track progress across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities, ensuring alignment with deadlines and client expectations.
• Coordinate specialised engineering teams involved in the project.
• Manage design approvals (DPP) and liaise with Area Coordinators, Site Managers and the Project Manager.
• Work with the Purchasing Department on technical validations and updates to purchasing plans.
• Carry out site visits and coordinate with on‑site staff, subcontractors and client representatives.
• Review and validate design documentation prior to client submission and site execution, ensuring the safest and most efficient solutions.
• Flag any client design requirements that differ from the tender specifications.

🎓 What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• High proficiency in English (required).
• Knowledge of Dutch and/or Spanish is considered an advantage.
• Experience in High Voltage Electrical Substation projects in the Netherlands is a plus (not mandatory).
• Strong command of Microsoft Office tools.
• Willingness to travel and work on‑site in the Netherlands.
