Junior Game Tester

We are hiring a Junior Game Tester to assist in ensuring cosmetic features in our AAA gaming platform meet high standards. In this position, you'll validate in-game content and collaborate with production to handle a constant flow of items, guaranteeing a polished player experience. Responsibilities

• Assess cosmetic game items through a mix of structured test cases and exploratory testing during multiple release stages
• Ready consoles and mobile devices for QA sessions by following setup procedures
• Learn and operate necessary tools to complete daily QA objectives
• Record and report defects using JIRA bug tracking tool
• Maintain and upgrade hardware elements including drivers, SDKs, and firmware in line with project needs

Requirements

• Enthusiastic gamer with exposure to various popular games, genres, and platforms
• Prepared to work on-site with shifts starting between 9:00 and 9:30 AM (UTC -04)
• Intermediate familiarity with PC/Windows systems and ability to tweak settings
• Dependable approach to completing assignments
• Respect for confidential client details
• Effective collaboration skills
• Capacity to swiftly adapt to new workflows and applications
• English competence at B1 (Intermediate) level

Nice to have

• Experience in game QA or functional testing
• Regular involvement in Closed Beta or crowd testing initiatives like "Battlefield Labs" or "Halo Insider"
• Understanding of QA methodologies and functional testing
• Experience with bug tracking in JIRA
• Knowledge of Unreal Engine operations
• Background in testing mobile applications on Android or iOS
