Junior Game Tester

We are bringing on a Junior Game Tester to help assess cosmetic items for an AAA gaming platform. In this role, you will join forces with the production team to review upcoming in-game visuals, applying functional and exploratory testing methods. Responsibilities

• Assess cosmetic game content using detailed test cases and spontaneous exploratory testing throughout release cycles
• Prepare gaming consoles and mobile devices according to standardized setup procedures
• Operate necessary tools to handle daily QA assignments
• Log and communicate defects or issues using the JIRA bug tracking system
• Carry out updates and upkeep of drivers, SDKs, and firmware aligned with project requirements

Requirements

• Strong interest in gaming with practical experience across different games, genres, and devices
• Capability to work on-site starting between 9:00 and 9:30 AM (UTC -04)
• Understanding of PC/Windows settings management for game optimization
• Reliable approach to fulfilling assigned tasks
• Respect for confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
• Collaborative mindset in team settings
• Ability to grasp new tools quickly and adapt to procedural changes
• English proficiency at B1 Intermediate level or greater

Nice to have

• Exposure to game testing or functional QA roles
• Involvement in Closed Beta Tests or Crowd Testing Programs such as Battlefield Labs or Halo Insider
• Awareness of functional testing fundamentals, tools, and strategies
• Practice reporting bugs in JIRA or equivalents
• Basic knowledge of Unreal Engine
• Experience evaluating Android and iOS mobile applications
