What to expect
As a Product Analyst based onsite either in Aachen or Erembodegem, you will support the Product Manager in executing line extensions and new product programs, while managing product lifecycle and competitive insights for the Automotive Aftermarket. The role works cross‑functionally to ensure accurate data, strong market coverage, and successful product execution.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Organizes and executes Gates’ line extensions / new programs under the direction of the Product Manager.
- Product lifecycle management for his/her responsible product lines
- Assists the Purchasing Department in the joint development of new parts, suppliers and partners.
- Assists Product Manager in compiling and analyzing competitor’s product lines in terms of range, kit content, application coverage, first to market and product support programs.
- Assists Product Manager in operational matters regarding existing products and line extensions with validation of samples part and benchmarking competitors
- Keeps different operational databases continuously up to date with all known product and competitor information
- Works in close cooperation with the Sales & Operation team, procurement team, and pricing team.
- Collect and compiles OES, IAM and Private Brand Label data for timing metals and kits.
- Builds knowledge of the company, processes and customers
- Solves a range of straightforward problems
- Analyses possible solutions using standard procedures
- Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction
- Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work
- Solves standard problems by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents
- Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies
- Explains information to others in straightforward situations
- Requires expanded knowledge and experience in own area; incumbents are still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills
- Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own area of expertise while developing additional skill sets

- No supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance to new associates
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Engineering with about 2 years of related experience
- Excellent Computer skills at a high level. (MS Office)
- Analytical skills and data-driven decisions
- Strong interest in automotive industry
- Ability to present to a smaller audience
- Fluent in English, any other European Language is a plus
