Invenco by GVR is a global leader in integrated payments, point-of-sale and forecourt automation solutions for convenience retail. Our site controller platform runs terminals, pumps/dispensers, payments and back-office services at forecourts across many countries and more than 10,000 terminals.

Join our established R&D team in Bromma, Sweden, where you will use your skills and knowledge of C#.NET and C++ to work on terminal-level and dispenser-related code and gain deep knowledge of fuel-forecourt systems and end to end payment flows.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain components of the site controller (primarily back-end).
• Implement and troubleshoot payment integrations (connections to banks and card schemes).
• Work with embedded terminal and dispenser interfaces on forecourts; debug device-level behaviour and interactions with higher-level services
• Work within a single scrum team, take ownership of delivery tasks, attend daily stand-ups, weekly team meetings and regular one-to-ones.
• Produce and review code, run tests, and support deployments/operational troubleshooting.
• Deliver back-office features: reporting, remote price changes, tank-level data and other forecourt services.
• Liaise with project managers, QA and other stakeholders; take responsibility for assigned features.
  
  

What we are looking for:

We seek a capable, driven Software Developer (C# .NET & C++) who excels both in team settings and when working solo. You own your work end to end, work hands on across frontend and backend, and prioritise delivering meaningful results quickly. You’re proactive, self-motivated, inquisitive, and enjoy a varied workload.

About you:

Essential:

• University degree in a relevant subject
• Solid experience developing in C#/.NET (ideally 5+ years)
• Comfortable with C++ — either current experience or willingness/ability to pick it up and work in lower-level code.
• Strong English and Swedish (spoken and written)
• Experience working in an agile/scrum team and standard software engineering practices (code reviews, testing, CI).
• Proactive in problem solving and taking ownership and accountability
• Curiosity with a learning mindset
• Ability to adapt
  
  

Desirable:

• Experience with terminals, device communication or low-level protocols.
• Cloud or microservices experience.
• Experience with country-specific fiscal/regulatory payment requirements
