As our award-winning global newsrooms continues to evolve, we are looking for a Newsroom Shift Scheduling Specialist to ensure seamless operational coverage across a fast-paced, 24/7 international broadcast environment.

This is not a standard scheduling role — it sits at the heart of live news operations.

You will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimising complex newsroom shift patterns across editorial, production, and operational teams. Your work will directly impact on editorial continuity, workforce efficiency.

What You’ll Do

• Build and manage 24/7 shift rosters across multiple newsroom functions
• Balance operational coverage, breaking news agility, and cost control
• Ensure compliance with labour regulations and internal HR policy
• Partner closely with Digital management
• Monitor absence, leave, overtime, and freelance utilisation
• Continuously improve scheduling models using data and forecasting

Who We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in shift planning within a live broadcast, media, aviation, healthcare, or similarly complex 24/7 environment
• Strong analytical and workforce planning capability
• Advanced Excel / workforce planning systems experience
• Calm under pressure with strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage last-minute breaking news changes with precision
• Experience within an international newsroom is highly desirable.
