We're building a live streaming platform from the ground up—one that's fast, beautiful, and designed for both creators and viewers who expect more. The broadcast infrastructure, the creator tools, the viewer experience, the monetization layer—all of it, purpose-built.
We're a small, profitable company with deep experience in the live streaming space. We're now looking for a second engineer to help us build it from the ground up.
Live streaming is one of the fastest-growing corners of the internet, but the platforms creators rely on haven't kept up. We're building something better—a platform where performance is a feature, the creator experience is first-class, and the product evolves fast because the team behind it actually cares about craft.
We want a full-stack builder. Not a "frontend dev who can write an API" or a "backend engineer who can copy-paste UI components"—a genuine generalist who thinks in products, not tickets. Someone who can look at a problem, figure out what to build, and ship it end-to-end.
You'll be the second engineer, working directly with the CTO. That means high ownership, real influence on architecture and product direction, and zero layers of abstraction between you and the work that matters. If you want to build something from the ground up and see your decisions compound over time, this is that role.
We don't expect you to know every tool in our stack, but we do expect strong TypeScript fundamentals, solid React instincts, and the ability to reason about systems—from database schema to pixel-level UI.
- Ship features end-to-end: data model → API → UI → deploy
- Build and refine the creator and viewer experience—streaming tools, discovery, profiles, real-time interactions
- Design and implement monetization and campaign systems that connect brands with creators
- Build real-time features: live chat, presence, notifications, live analytics
- Design scalable database schemas and write queries that hold up at scale
- Push performance across the stack: video delivery, server response times, bundle size, perceived speed
- Own infrastructure decisions and production reliability
- Write clean, maintainable code and crisp technical documentation
- Use AI tools productively to move fast without cutting corners
This is what we build with today. You don't need to know all of it—but you should be excited to work across it.
- Frontend: Next.js (React, TypeScript), Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui
- Backend: Node.js, DrizzleORM, PostgreSQL (Neon)
- Infrastructure: Fly.io, Vercel, S3-compatible storage
- Collaboration: GitHub, Linear
- Strong TypeScript and React/Next.js experience
- Comfort with relational database design, migrations, and query optimization
- Experience building and shipping products—not just features
- Good product taste and an eye for UI quality
- Bias for action, clear communication, and pride in craft
- Pragmatic use of AI tools to amplify your output
- Real-time systems experience (WebSockets, SSE, streaming protocols)
- Familiarity with video infrastructure, transcoding, or CDN delivery
- Experience with creator/platform products or two-sided marketplaces
- Background in performance optimization and observability
- In-person in Tallinn, Estonia — we work side-by-side at a coworking space
- Small team, high ownership, builder's mindset
- We value craft, speed, and clear thinking over process and ceremony
- Fair compensation (€6,000/month - Independent Contractor)
- Meaningful equity as the second engineer—you're building this with us
- Deep technical ownership and direct product impact
- A coworking space in Tallinn with your name on a desk
Send your GitHub or portfolio and a short note about something you've built that shows both product thinking and technical depth. We care about what you've shipped, not where you went to school.
Equal Opportunity: We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and don't discriminate based on race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
