The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is responsible for the leadership, governance, and operational oversight of information security within Nokia Defense (ND) operating with classified material. The role ensures that classified and sensitive information and systems are protected in accordance with defense authority requirements, contractual obligations, and internal security policies, and that ND maintains continuous compliance, audit readiness, and authority trust.

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is responsible for the leadership, governance, and operational oversight of information security within Nokia Defense (ND) operating with classified material. The role ensures that classified and sensitive information and systems are protected in accordance with defense authority requirements, contractual obligations, and internal security policies, and that ND maintains continuous compliance, audit readiness, and authority trust.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Define, implement, and maintain the ND’s information security strategy for different classification level operations.
- Establish and enforce information security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with defense authority requirements.
- Ensure protection of classified information across IT systems, networks, and digital services.
- Oversee access control, system segregation, encryption, logging, and continuous monitoring.
- Lead information security risk management and support formal risk acceptance processes.
- Ensure secure system design, accreditation, and lifecycle management for classified material environments.
- Direct the detection, response, escalation, and reporting of information security incidents.
- Support Facility Security Clearance (FSC) maintenance and defense authority audits and inspections.
- Provide expert information security advice to executive management and support security decision-making.
- Proven senior-level experience in information security or cybersecurity leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of classified material information security, system segregation, and access control.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience of working in Finnish Defense Forces, Finnish government, or similarly regulated environments in Finland.
- Demonstrated experience supporting authority audits and compliance activities.
- Experience managing and escalating security incidents in high-trust environments.
- Excellent communication skills.
