We’re partnering with an early-stage HealthTech startup to hire an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join their Product & Engineering team. This role owns the embedded firmware and control systems that power a next-generation, hardware-driven relaxation experience.
Working closely with a company co-founder and cross-functional teams across hardware, mobile, and product, you’ll play a key role in shaping both system performance and user experience. This is a hands-on role with real ownership from day one.
What You’ll Do
- Own the embedded firmware stack end-to-end: prototyping, testing, release, and iteration
- Design and optimise embedded software for microcontroller-based systems, focusing on reliability and performance
- Develop open- and closed-loop control systems for haptic and pneumatic actuation
- Build deep expertise in SMA-based hardware and continuously improve system behaviour
- Implement real-time sensor processing for interactive, user-facing experiences
- Optionally contribute to future health-sensing and state-tracking algorithms
What We’re Looking For
- Strong Embedded C skills
- Several years of experience in embedded software development on shipped products
- Strong comfort working across hardware, firmware, and digital products
- Background in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Physics, or equivalent practical experience
- Hands-on, ownership-driven mindset with comfort in ambiguity and fast iteration
- Curiosity for new technologies and modern product development
- Confident using AI tools as part of your daily workflow
- Clear communication skills and enjoyment of cross-functional collaboration
Why This Role
- Hybrid work: Flexible mix of remote work and on-site collaboration in Munich
- High ownership: Real responsibility and influence within a small, ambitious product team
- Meaningful impact: Work on technology designed to improve mental wellbeing and relaxation
- Many other interesting perks!
If you are a startup enthusiast who would up for building the embedded team. We look forward to hearing from you!
