About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Hygiene Engineer to join the Cyber Security function embedded in the Cyber Hygiene stream of our banking client’s technology organization.

This is a hands-on, operational role focused on vulnerability management, endpoint compliance, cloud workload security, and cyber hygiene processes across a hybrid cloud environment. While the role is predominantly operational, it also involves light governance responsibilities and the development of compliance indicators and reporting.

This is a hands-on, operational role focused on vulnerability management, endpoint compliance, cloud workload security, and cyber hygiene processes across a hybrid cloud environment. While the role is predominantly operational, it also involves light governance responsibilities and the development of compliance indicators and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Cyber Hygiene & Compliance

• Execute continuous vulnerability scanning and endpoint compliance checks using: Prisma, CWPP, Tanium, or/and Carbon Black.
• Monitor non‑compliant endpoints, vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and hygiene gaps across cloud GCP).
• Ensure end-to-end workflow accuracy: scanning → risk routing (Prisma/Brinka) → ServiceNow ticket creation → assignment to Application Owners → remediation.
• Support Application Owners with technical advice and guidance on remediation steps.
• Validate correct ticket routing, investigate workflow issues, and escalate anomalies when required.

Cloud & Container Security

• Contribute to cyber hygiene across GCP infrastructure.
• Work with containerized environments such as GKE, Kubernetes, and cloud-native workloads.
• Assist with hygiene best practices for containerized and distributed architectures.

Governance & Reporting

• Contribute to hygiene and compliance reporting, including consequence management reporting.
• Support the definition and refinement of compliance metrics, hygiene KPIs, and program-level indicators.
• Ensure alignment with recognized security frameworks: ISO 27001, NIST, DORA.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Operate as part of a small cyber hygiene team (2 members).
• Collaborate closely with platform teams, application owners, cloud engineering, and cyber security stakeholders.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on cyber security experience in vulnerability management, endpoint security, or cyber hygiene.
• Practical experience with tools including:
• Prisma Cloud
• CWPP platforms
• Tanium (strong advantage)
• Carbon Black or similar EDR tools
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, especially GCP (preferred) and Azure.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native architectures.
• Solid understanding of vulnerability management workflows and security best practices.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with AWS services.
• ServiceNow or similar ticketing workflow experience.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud deployments.
• Additional exposure to regulatory frameworks such as DORA, NIST, ISO 27001.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Capacity to translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent workflows.
