Payments Business Analyst

What you will be working on:

We are looking for a Product-oriented Business Analyst who can bridge business needs, customer experience, and technical delivery within a regulated fintech environment. In this role, you will contribute to the evolution of our omnichannel payment platform, ensuring that our payment products are intuitive, compliant, and aligned with merchant needs. You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Compliance, and Operations teams to translate business vision into clear, actionable specifications.

What you will do:

• Understand and model merchant and end-user journeys across: o POS payments o Online payments (virtual POS, payment links) o Account-to-account payments (Open Banking – PIS)

• Gather and clarify business requirements from internal stakeholders and external partners.

• Translate product initiatives into structured user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

• Support feature discovery and impact analysis for new payment capabilities.

• Ensure alignment between business goals, regulatory constraints (PSD2, SCA), and technical feasibility.

• Contribute to improving merchant dashboards, reporting, and reconciliation features.

• Collaborate closely with UX/UI to define intuitive payment experiences.

• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and product reviews.

• Support UAT and ensure that delivered solutions meet defined business expectations.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product-oriented BA in fintech, banking, or digital payments.

• Solid understanding of payment concepts (authorization, refunds, chargebacks, settlement).

• Experience working in Agile product environments.

• Ability to balance business value, user experience, and regulatory requirements.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail. Nice to have: • Exposure to Open Banking (AIS/PIS) concepts.

• Experience working with merchant-facing financial products.

• Familiarity with regulated environments (PSD2, payment institutions).

• Availability to come to the office 4 days/week.
