Throne Solutions is seeking an experienced L2 LAN/WLAN Network Engineer to support, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across Gothenburg and Skövde. This is a long-term onsite assignment (minimum 1 year) involving advanced troubleshooting, performance tuning, network security enforcement, and support for enterprise-wide installations while ensuring high availability and compliance with operational standards.

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize Cisco LAN/WLAN environments
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues with minimal downtime
• Perform network performance analysis and configuration management
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and ensure security baselines are met
• Provide L2 support for Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for major or recurring incidents
• Escalate issues appropriately and coordinate with internal/external teams
• Install, configure, and support routers, switches, WLCs, and access points
• Replace or upgrade faulty hardware components as required
• Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, and procedures
• Provide weekend and after-hours support for planned activities

• Strong expertise in network troubleshooting and issue resolution
• Solid understanding of CCNA / CCNP Routing & Switching concepts
• Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and IOS-XR
• Proficiency with packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
• Experience with Cisco wireless technologies (WLC, FlexConnect)
• Strong switching fundamentals: VLAN, STP, VTP, HSRP, ACLs
• Experience with routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, static routing)
• Good knowledge of DHCP, DNS, NAT, QoS, STP, LACP, VLANs
• Ability to troubleshoot firewall and network security issues

• CCNP certification or equivalent experience
• Experience in medium-to-large enterprise environments
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and documentation standards

• Valid driving license (required for travel between sites)
