Job Description
Directly reporting to the C-level, successful applicant will be responsible for:Strategic Planning & Portfolio Management
- Lead the annual strategic planning cycle, shaping the group's 5-10 year strategic direction and portfolio priorities.
- Evaluate industry trends, market dynamics, competitive shifts, and global benchmarks to identify long-term risks and opportunities.
- Develop group-wide strategic narratives, investment theses, and scenario plans for top management.
- Build business cases for new sectors, new technologies, and adjacencies; assess feasibility, synergies, risk-return, and strategic match.
- Collaborate with business units to translate strategy into actionable growth initiatives, pilots, and roadmap implementations.
- Work on partnership models, joint ventures, innovation programs, and new business model exploration.
- Provide strategic input for potential acquisitions, divestitures, and partnerships.
- Support target screening, investment rationale, synergy hypotheses, and strategic due diligence.
- Work closely with finance and legal teams to ensure alignment between deal strategy and group objectives.
- Prepare high-quality presentations, board materials, and decision-support documents for senior executives.
- Align group companies around shared KPIs, strategic targets, and performance frameworks.
- Represent the group in selected industry, regulatory, or think‑tank forums when required.
- Drive strategic programs such as digital transformation, sustainability roadmaps, advanced materials initiatives, or technology investment themes.
- Collaborate with the group's corporate venture and innovation teams on emerging technology opportunities.
A successful applicant should have:
- 8-10 years of experience, ideally from top-tier strategy consulting or a blend of consulting + industry strategy roles.
- Engineering or quantitative background (Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering preferred) is considered a plus.
- Strong exposure to industrial/manufacturing-driven sectors; experience with chemicals, advanced materials, or energy is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem structuring, analytical modeling, and executive communication skills.
- Ability to operate as an "in-house consultant," bringing structured methodologies and strategic rigor into the organization.
- Comfortable working directly with senior leadership and presenting to executive committees or boards.
- A balanced profile capable of both long-term strategic design and hands-on business development execution.
