The Web Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining websites and web applications. They work with front-end and/or back-end technologies to create responsive, user-friendly, and secure digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy web applications and websites.

• Build responsive, accessible, and cross-browser compatible user interfaces.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.).

• Integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services.

• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers.

• Optimize website performance, security, and SEO.

• Debug and troubleshoot issues across browsers and devices.

• Maintain code documentation and participate in code reviews.

• Stay updated with emerging web technologies and frameworks.


Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering, or related field.

• Coding bootcamps, certifications, or strong personal/project portfolio can also qualify.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks/libraries (React, Angular, Vue.js).

• Familiarity with back-end technologies (Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby, etc.).

• Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Firebase).

• Knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.

• Understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and JSON/XML data handling.

• Familiarity with Git/version control and CI/CD workflows.

• Understanding of web security principles (XSS, CSRF, authentication).

Experience

• 2–5 years of web development experience.

• Experience in full project lifecycle: from requirements to deployment.

• Portfolio of completed web applications or websites.

• Prior exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.

Skills

• Strong front-end development skills.

• Knowledge of UI/UX best practices.

• API integration and backend connectivity.
