Lead Devops Engineer

Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3days Onsite in a week)

Contract : 6Months

Key Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end implementation across applications and platforms
• Architect, design, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using:
• Jenkins
• GitHub Actions
• GitLab CI/CD
• Azure DevOps
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation using:
• AWS CDK
• Terraform
• AWS CloudFormation
• Ansible
• Develop, maintain, and optimize AWS CDK scripts for provisioning scalable, reusable, and secure infrastructure components
• Oversee AWS cloud infrastructure design, automation, and operational management
• Lead containerization and orchestration initiatives using:
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• Amazon EKS
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and SRE teams to improve release processes
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using:
• Amazon CloudWatch
• Prometheus
• Grafana
• Elastic Stack
• Splunk
• Ensure compliance with security standards, secrets management, and DevSecOps practices
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize system performance and reliability
• Mentor junior DevOps and CDK engineers
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across DevOps teams

Required Qualifications

• 8–12 years of overall IT experience
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services including:
• Amazon EC2
• AWS Lambda
• Amazon VPC
• Amazon S3
• Amazon RDS
• Deep experience designing and automating CI/CD pipelines
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, or Node.js
• Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices deployment patterns
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub branching strategies and pull request workflows
• Strong understanding of networking, IAM, security groups, encryption, and AWS best practices
• Hands-on experience writing, troubleshooting, and deploying AWS CDK scripts for IaC automation
• Experience working with onshore/offshore teams and leading multi-functional teams
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
