Analyst, Nordic Debt Capital Markets

About the Job:

We are seeking a junior team member to our Nordic Debt Capital Markets team in Stockholm to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract.

As Analyst in the Nordic DCM team you are responsible for the origination and execution of Credit Agricole CIB’s DCM business in the Nordic region. The Nordic DCM portfolio consists of Financial Institutions and Corporate clients in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. You will have active client dialogue with FI’s and Corporates in the Nordic region enabling the team to originate all types of debt across the capital structure; including Covered Bonds, Senior Unsecured, Subordinated capital, and other DCM related products.

You will perform analysis of market and company data, prepare marketing and presentation materials, liaise with Syndicate desks in order to provide clients with pricing indications and market intelligence, draft market updates for clients and recommendations for specific transactions.

You will work closely with Coverage Bankers, Syndicate desks, DCM Solutions and Sustainable Banking teams as well as other DCM Originators locally and globally. You will also cooperative with other key internal teams such as Credit Sales, Trading, Rating Advisory teams, Acquisition Financing and Derivative teams to identify market opportunities for FI and Corporate clients out of the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Play a key role in the origination and execution of Credit Agricole CIB’s DCM business in the Nordic region
• Perform analysis of market and company data, prepare and review market updates and presentation materials, pricing updates and recommendations
• Be involved in transaction executions and assist in all aspects in the execution of mandated transactions to the Financial Institutions and Corporate clients in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden
• Manage communication with key internal contacts, such as FI and Corporate DCM Origination teams, both locally and globally, Syndicate team, DCM Legal Department, Derivative Sales, Credit Research, Coverage Banking teams, DCM Solutions/Hybrid team, Sustainable Banking team, Operations team, Compliance teams

Qualifications:

• Relevant investment banking experience ideal, but not a must have - such as previous internship within Debt Capital Markets, Credit or Equity research, Credit Sales, Leverage Finance or other Investment Banking Department
• Fluent in English and ideally one of the Nordic languages
• Genuine interest to understand financial markets
• Financial analysis: Strong ability to analyze financial data relevant to the credit market – such as market and macroeconomic data, trading data and financial reports
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, preferably some experience with Bloomberg terminal

Minimum level of study:

• Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent (a master’s degree is a plus), preferably in Finance or Economics
